3 Local Co-op Games

Do you want to play a multiplayer game with your friends or family but you only find online games? I have a few games that would be great for playing with others. Last time I listed only online co-op games, so now I’m back with local/couch co-op games. Co-op games are a good way to build and strengthen bonds with friends and family. According to research done by Southwestern Medical Center School of Public Health, making time to play games together supports more effective, open family communication and a greater sense of togetherness. Here are the games.

The Escapists 2

The Escapists 2 is a fantastic sequel to the first, with it adding co-op gameplay. You get to try to break out of various prisons with your friends and come up with different strategies to get the different endings. There are also many ways to play, you could befriend fellow inmates and get them to do your bidding or work out so you can overpower all the police and cause a riot.

  • Couch/Local Co-op or Online Co-op

  • 1-4 Players

  • PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Apple, and Android

Tekken 7

This is one of the most enjoyable fighting games I have ever played. It is very easy to get lost in the zone playing matches over and over against your friends or family. You could play King of the Hill style or create a tournament. There is also a large number of fighters to choose from, all with unique fighting styles. The game even has maps with special features like getting knocked off the edge or through the floor.

  • Couch/Local Co-op or Online Co-op

  • 1-2 Players

  • PS4, Xbox One, New Gen, and Steam

Moving Out

Moving Out is a fun light-hearted game for bonding with friends and family. You have to work together to empty the home and fit everything into the truck under the time limit. Unlike real life, it's encouraged to break things like windows to make the process go by a lot faster.

  • Couch/Local Co-op or Online Co-op

  • 1-4 Players

  • PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and Steam

Until next time, don’t forget to #KickTheDay every day.
