4 Horror Games that you can play alone or with Friends

Happy New Year Gamer, I know it’s winter, and everybody is in the holiday cheer, but that does not matter, I’m in a spooky mood. We are here with HORROR games. The games I have displayed before are either single-player or co-op games. If you are brave enough, I challenge you to play these in the dark, alone or with a friend.

Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia is a fantastic game to play with friends if you’re looking for a scare. The main objective is to enter a building haunted by a ghost and find clues to figure out what type of ghost it is before it kills you all. There are multiple tools to find clues and you can only have 3 items at a time so you must plan accordingly. This game is playable on your own, but I recommend finding a friend to play this with because it could make the experience much better.

The Mortuary Assistant

The Mortuary Assistant is a game similar to Phasmophobia. It is a single-player game, and instead of just finding the type of demon, you need to find what body the ghost has possessed. The game's premise is that you’re cursed, and your goal is to banish the demon before it fully controls you. That same demon is also connected to one of the dead bodies in the morgue. So you must find out what the demon is, the body that is possessed, and burn it before you become possessed. This game is also fun taking turns with friends if you’re too afraid to play alone.

Silent Hill

Silent Hill is a survival horror game where you travel through the town “Silent Hill” looking for your missing daughter. The game also limits your vision and provides a small portion of light for you to see around you. Silent Hill also emphasizes how the main protagonist, Harry, is just a normal guy. His aim is terrible and he barely outruns the town's horror. There is also minimal ammo to find so more time will be spent avoiding the enemies instead of trying to fight them. This is an amazing game to play if you want to get into survival horror.

The Dark Pictures Anthology Series

All of the games in The Dark Pictures Anthology Series are story games to play with friends and/or family. They are all like interactive movies where your choices affect whether or not you will survive the dangers that lurk. Each game is unique but what each has in common is the powerful foreshadowing for life or death events. If you don’t check everything in your area you could miss something crucial to help you survive later. Each player can choose what character they want to control and you just pass around the controller to who becomes the main character.
